Meghan Mitchell-Meghan lives in Sandy Utah with her husband and four kids. In May 2011, Meghan's oldest daughter Siobhan was diagnosed with JIA at the age of 5 1/2. Siobhan began seeing Dr. Inman at Primary Children's Hospital and spent the summer of 2011 trying different treatments to get her JIA under control. The Mitchell family was thrilled to hear that as of September 1, 2011, Siobhan is in remission (with medication). In April of 2012, Meghan and Siobhan were able to travel to Washington DC for the Arthritis Foundation's Advocacy Summit. They were able to talk with Utah Senators and Congressmen about upcoming legislation that is relevant to the Arthritis Community. All of the Mitchells are pleased and honored to be involved with the Arthritis Foundation!
Annie Viola lives in West Jordan with her husband of ten years and four wonderful children. She is excited to work with other families that have been affected by Juvenile Arthritis. Her little girl, Annalee, was diagnosed with JA at the young age of 2. After several joint injections, steroids, and medications, Annalee was able to be inflammation free and out of pain. Currently, she is doing extremely well on her medication and has even started gymnastics! Annie wants other families to know that they are not alone in dealing with this disease, and that she is here to help and support them through her experiences.
